JSD works inside Discord's role hierarchy, only answers to the people you choose, and logs every case with who did what and when.

  • Mod-role gated
    Jail, release and appeal decisions need Administrator or the JSD mod role you pick in /setup.
  • JSD never reaches above itself
    It refuses to jail anyone whose top role sits at or above its own, and never touches managed roles.
  • Short-lived appeal links
    Web appeal links expire after 30 minutes, and the access code is stripped from the address bar.

Can I use JSD without paying?
Yes. /jail, /release, /appeal, auto-release, escalation and member web status are free, and the core stays free.
What happens to a member's roles?
They're snapshotted before being removed and restored on release. Roles deleted in the meantime are skipped.
I run several servers. How will Pro work?
Pro isn't on sale yet. When it launches, each subscription will cover one server, so you only pay for the servers that need it.
Does JSD survive restarts?
Yes. Case state lives in the database and the release sweeper picks up where it left off, so releases aren't lost or duplicated.
Why does JSD ask for Administrator?
It creates the jail role and channels, keeps the jail role above jailed members and can ban when a moderator decides a case. You can tighten its role later in Server Settings.
