Terms of Service

By inviting the JSD bot, using slash commands, accessing jsd.vexoris.dev, or creating an account, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy, Bot Policy, User Policy, and Refund Policy.

If you use JSD on behalf of a Discord server, you represent that you have authority to bind that server and its administrators to these Terms.

JSD provides temporary member detention ("jailing"), auto-release, appeals tooling, case logging, and related web dashboards. Features may differ between Free and Pro plans as described on the Pricing page.

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features with reasonable notice when practical. Discord platform changes outside our control may affect availability.

Website accounts authenticate via Discord OAuth. You must keep your Discord account secure. You are responsible for activity under your connected identity.

Server-owner and moderator web tools require appropriate Discord permissions in the relevant guild. We may revoke access for abuse, fraud, or policy violations.

Core Discord detention features are offered on a Free plan. Pro is billed per Discord server (guild), currently at the rates published on jsd.vexoris.dev. Extra servers require separate Pro seats unless a bundle is expressly offered.

When paid billing is enabled, payments are processed by our payment provider (for example, Stripe). We do not accept refunds. All fees are final except where required by law. See our Refund Policy. Failed payments may suspend Pro features until resolved; Free Discord detention continues subject to these Terms.

You must not use JSD to:

• Violate Discord's Terms of Service, Community Guidelines, or applicable law
• Harass, threaten, or unlawfully discriminate against individuals
• Circumvent billing, rate limits, security, or access controls
• Attack, scrape, or overload our systems or Discord's infrastructure
• Impersonate JSD, Vexoris, or another person or entity

Server administrators and jail moderators decide who is detained, for how long, and how appeals are handled. You are solely responsible for moderation outcomes in your communities and for notices you give members under your own rules.

JSD is a tool. We do not supervise day-to-day moderation decisions made by your staff.

JSD, its branding, software, and documentation are owned by Vexoris or its licensors. You receive a limited, revocable license to use the service as intended. You may not copy, reverse engineer (except where law allows), or resell the service without written permission.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE." TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, VEXORIS DISCLAIMS WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE OPERATION.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, VEXORIS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF JSD. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE SERVICE IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF (A) AMOUNTS YOU PAID US FOR PRO IN THE THREE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR (B) FIFTY US DOLLARS (US $50).

We may suspend or terminate bot access, web accounts, or Pro entitlements for policy violations, non-payment, legal risk, or service integrity. You may stop using JSD at any time and remove the bot from your servers. Sections that by nature should survive (including IP, disclaimers, and liability limits) survive termination.

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date on this page and, where appropriate, notice on the website or Discord. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
