Command details
/jail
Opens a guided form with these fields:
- Member: the target user (user select menu)
- Duration: amount + unit (seconds, minutes, hours, days, weeks, months, years, or Forever)
- Reason: free-text (required)
- Category: dropdown of available categories
After submission, JSD snapshots roles, strips them, applies the jail role, DMs the member, and logs everything.
/release
Releases by one of two methods:
- By case ID: enter the case number
- By user: selects a user, releases their most recent active case
Roles are restored from the snapshot. The case is marked as released.
/appeal
Available only to jailed members. Creates a private channel under the JSD Appeal category with buttons for staff:
- Release: releases the member
- Close (Deny): closes the appeal, keeps them jailed
- Ban: bans them from the server
/warn and /mute
Both add points to the member's record within a rolling window. When the score reaches the auto-jail threshold, the member is automatically jailed. See Escalation System for details.
/rework-jsd
Dangerous command: deletes all JSD-created categories, channels, and roles. Clears the guild config so /setup can run fresh. Case history is preserved. Channels and roles you created yourself are only unlinked.
